Bee Health and Disease Eradication

At Pure Pollination, the health and wellbeing of bees are at the core of everything we do. We recognise that healthy bees are essential not only for successful pollination but for the survival of ecosystems and the security of our food supply.

We are deeply committed to supporting bee health through best-practice hive management, strong biosecurity measures, and active participation in national disease eradication efforts. Our beekeepers are trained to detect early signs of disease, ensuring rapid response and prevention strategies to protect both managed and wild bee populations.

Pure Pollination also works closely with agricultural bodies, research organisations, and local communities to share knowledge, promote bee-friendly practices, and contribute to ongoing research into bee diseases and pest management.

Our mission is clear: to nurture strong, resilient bee populations and play an active role in securing a healthy, sustainable future for bees — and for agriculture — in Australia.

Varroa Mite Research

At Pure Pollination, we are deeply committed to protecting Australia's bee populations and agricultural future. One of the greatest threats to honeybee health worldwide is the varroa mite — a devastating parasite responsible for massive colony losses in other countries. Although Australia has long been free of varroa, the growing risk of infestation demands vigilance and action.

We actively support and participate in varroa mite research initiatives, partnering with industry experts, research institutions, and government agencies. Our involvement includes contributing data, providing hive access for monitoring programs, and implementing best-practice biosecurity measures across all operations.

By investing in research and prevention today, we aim to strengthen Australia's ability to detect, manage, and ultimately combat varroa mite threats. Protecting our bees is not just crucial for our business — it’s essential for securing food production, supporting biodiversity, and ensuring a sustainable farming future for generations to come.
